Anyone else experience a thump from the rear of the Wildtrak (Mine is a 2023 V6 3.0 Wildtrak). Noise can be intermittent but I can replicate it on pull away by giving a slight acceleration then easing off the accelerator and accelerating again, very slightly. Trinity Ford in Cairns, after several returns, have said that it is the rear leaf spring and is normal, which I really don't believe. Firstly the noise only happens on pull away and leaf spring suggest the noise would happen whenever...

My truck has the lovely 2.5L 4cyl motor. About 2 weeks ago it tossed the code for the Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction. I believe it's P0340.... I replaced the sensor with the greatest of ease. Today, it tossed the exact same code. I know the key words are "Circuit Malfunction" meaning it can be anywhere in the wiring. Can anyone give me any better ideas besides just tearing into the wires trying to find a grounded out or frayed wire? Or could it possibly (I highly doubt it) be a...

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger 6 cyl. As it’s not an everyday car, I can’t say for sure how long this has been going on. Lately, the temp arrow just sits just off High. This is even when I start it after sitting over night. The fan is running full time as it’s part the f the belt system. I can’t tell if the gauge is stuck or it is actually over heating. Truck seems to act normal. Recently had oil change and inspection done. Also, checked the coolant and it looks good. Thinking possible...

I have an unusual problem with my truck. 2002 ranger. My engine cranks but no start.
What I have done:
Replaced spark plugs, wires, coil pack, cranks position sensor.
I have tried to narrow down to one of the following ,
Spark - good used spark tester
Fuel - sprayed starting fluid into the intake. No difference doesn't even pop, or attempt to start, fuel relay is operating correctly anyway.
Air seems OK, no visible air leaks, broken hoses.
This started suddenly, started truck ran for...

Hey guys! I’ve recently started getting this issue in my 2004 manual 4x4 Ford Ranger (4.0L V6) with 110k km, when I start it in the morning and then chuck it into neutral I get this single loud clunk followed by a slight grinding for like 2-3 seconds that seems to be coming from under my shifter. After that it goes away and doesn’t come back, no issues while driving or shifting, only right after startup and only one solid clunk. Any ideas on what it could be ..read more
