I have an 07 ranger with the 4 litre. About a week ago while driving I noticed my battery light was flickering. About the same time I noticed it, my radio and all gauges died out on me. Made it home and charged my battery up. The battery light stayed on. Assuming it was the alternator I replaced it. After that the battery light turned off and I thought I had solved the problem. 2011 Ranger 4x4 4-door Sport, 4L 6-banger AT. I have 2 fobs. When I program the second fob into the RKE system, the 1st fob quits working. Do I have to go to the stealership to clear the programming?
I program the first fob into the RKE chip (On-Off 8 times - leaving it in on with the 8th sequence - locks cycle). I program the fob, and the locks cycle. I turn off the truck, and the fob works flawlessly. I rinse-repeat with the second fob. Second fob works flawlessly, but the first fob quits working. What gives - I'm pulling my hair out, and can't find any reference to this in any thread, eith ..read more

91 ranger, xlt. 2.9L- Shift motor is good but is not receiving power. All fuses good, all relays good.Have tried 3 different modules, when go to do self test, the light never flashes or turns on all of them. Replaced shift motor with new one and still nothing. Replaced 4x4 switch and did nothing.
Manual hubs are switched on.
2 shops have looked at it and can not figure out the issue. Both said shift motor is not receiving power.
I possibly think it may be a grounding issue but don’t know how to add ground to it.
Is this a grounding issue? Or a broken wire somewhere? Why does the module sudde ..read more
