Alto Pass, ILL - Hundreds of bells have been ordered in anticipation of the Sesquicentennial Rendleman Orchards Bell Ringing Ceremony.  One hundred and fifty years and five generations later the farm purchased in 1873 by John and Isabelle Rendleman has expanded their acreage, up to 850 from the original 88, as well as their wholesale and community offerings.  June 28, 2023, will celebrate a century and a half of agricultural and personal tenacity. Rendleman Orchards Peach Crisp Mix makes two 8" x 8" peach crisps. DIRECTIONS FOR ONE 8" PEACH CRISP: Preheat oven to 375°F. Peel and slice 4 cups of Rendleman Orchards ripe peaches and pour into 8" x 8" greased pan. A little history from Ren: Rendleman Orchards began banking at the Alto Pass branch of Farmers State Bank in 1910 when John Lewis owned the bank. In the 1940’s Grover Rendleman and soon after his son James Rendleman purchased shares of the bank from the Wilkins and Landreth estates. The Rendleman family had controlling shares of the bank for near 60 years, until selling Farmers State Bank of Alto Pass to Tom Franks in 1994. Now in the market! Gala peaches are back!  A cling peach harvested when few freestone peaches are available. This peach is very firm, with a great bright color. Bring the family and visit us at The Fields at Rendleman Orchards! New photo-ops available and the Zinnias are in full bloom!
