They will be focusing on operating their food truck. Gravity is closing in Prairie Village. Cardboard Corner Cafe is opening a second location at Lenexa Public Market. Dave’s Stagecoach Inn is closing. This has been one of Kansas City’s most famous dive bars. Dave’s might be tied with the late McCoy’s as the bar I’ve spent the most hours in. The last couple of months have been a busy time for restaurant openings, closings, and other news. Whole Harvest Kitchen is a plant-based restaurant opening this week in Leawood Town Center. I’m looking forward to trying their KC BBQ Plate, their Pulled BBQ Jackfruit Tacos, the Shirataki Noodle Laksa, and all of the plant-based appetizers, salads, pizzas and desserts. The Kansas City metro area has a wide variety of restaurants with vegan and vegetarian options. We have several restaurants that have all vegan menus and others where vegan options constitute half of the menu. If you like vegan baked goods and desserts, Kansas City delivers.
