Hello all, I currently own a 96 Volvo penta with a sx cobra 1.66 outdrive and it is powered by a 5.0fl v8. The other day when I was out on the lake it started to make this grinding swirling sound when I put it in fwd or reverse gear and it would get a bit louder and vibrate when at cruising speeds and will go away at higher speeds. Hello everyone, I have taken over a project that I could really use some help with. The boat is a 2011 with a pair of 5.7's and the EVC-C3 system with electronic steering Engine Serial Numbers A112918 and A112917 The previous shop was trying to fix a steering issue and replaced the SCU. I am in process of replacing 350 gm motor with 1994 290dp drive, the large rubber rings that seal bell housing look ok . I don't want any leaks of course so trying to figure out what if any product to put on inner and outer rings to make sure doesn't happen . Hi experts... We recently acquired a cheap Glastron 205gs 1999 model. The engine was siezed, so went to local boat workshop where they had a lot of old working engines to sell. I was able to get a Volvo 5.7 to replace my frozen Volvo 5.7. It was a different model of Volvo(as I could tell from the exhaust shape and also the bell housing was different , see pics) but as was Volvo 5.7, I assumed swap would be straightforward. I got a 3.0 Volvo Pena inboard on my 04 Glastron. When I put water muffs on it today and fired it up, the water didn’t come out of the pee hole, it came out where the drain plug is. Any ideas?
