At their Midyear Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, the American Bar Association (ABA) overwhelmingly approved a new structure for members’ dues. It is the first approved dues increase in a decade and the increase stands to bring in about $3 million for the ABA. Those funds go towards improving the member experience and aiding the association in meeting its fiscal responsibilities.

After one year as treasurer-elect, Langrock partner, Fritz Langrock has commenced his official three-year appointment as treasurer of the American Bar Association (ABA). As ABA treasurer, Langrock will serve a three-year term as one of five officers on the ABA’s Board of Governors. Fritz will be only the third Vermont lawyer to serve as an officer in the organization and the first in this century.

Langrock attorneys Emily J. Joselson, James W. Swift and William A. Vasiliou obtained a significant settlement on behalf of their client following a severe motor vehicle collision. At a recent ceremony at the 158th Fighter Wing of the Vermont Air National Guard (VTANG), senior Langrock Sperry & Wool partner, Michael W. Wool was named an Honorary Commander. According to VTANG, the Honorary Commander Program is intended to pair base leadership with local civic leaders to increase public awareness of the missions, policies, and programs of the US Air Force and Department of Defense.
