So as far as i can tell - he needs: -use a bit 3d tools(Maya) to look/check into scenes -some premiere cut maybe -most zoom and organising tools to meet with team, plan schedules and such stuff. -camera -big screen to evaluate shots I asked for more info tho. Hello again folks, I am trying to figure out what laptop to buy for my university deep learning needs. I don’t plan on doing training on this laptop only inference. Training on laptops is dumb and modern AI models need 20gb+ vram i.e llms and stable-diffusion when paired with reasonable amount of data, so I will ask the uni for some kind of cloud account or some other resource for training if it comes down to it. Getting a laptop refresh and curious what the popular opinion is here between the brands. Going from an HP ZBook 15 G4 i7-7820HQ Nvidia Quadro M1200 16GB RAM Samsung NVMe 500gig Pretty decent docking station, lightning, USB-C etc. Going over to: Dell Precision 7670 (specs TBD). I don’t really like change so I was resisting the update but its happening soon. The HP has been good, any issues I ran into were more due to the enterprise security clients they have to use IMO. Hi everyone, A friend of mine getting these fTPM prompts everytime the laptop starts and its a dell inspiron laptop with windows 11. I haven’t used windows in a while and Windows 10 was the last one that I had used. The prompt is this Press Y to reset fTPM, if you have bitlocker or encryption-enabled system, the system will not boot without a recovery key. Press N to keep previous fTPM record and continue system boot, fTPM will NOT be enabled with new CPU unless fTPM is reset (reinitialized). I am currently looking for a new monitor to replace a Vizio 32" Smart TV. I’m looking for recommendations for 32 inch monitors with a maximum budget of $175; I am okay with buying used, refurbished or new. I have a Razer Blade Stealth Late 2019 GTX with a fresh Windows 11 install (fully updated). Every time i boot it up, the cursor displays at ~15fps in power saving mode and ~30 in balanced/performance, while plugged in its perfectly normal (and some other animations are weird too but its hard to check ~ framerate). I can also experience this behaviour while using Windows Explorer and apparently in every non hardware accelerated application until I open some apps like chrome, discord or a game.
