Curious about how to create these bead-embellished embroidery designs?
As embroidery designers, we are always eager to experiment with various techniques. This time, we've combined free-standing lace embroidery with beading.
You can create our embroidery designs, suitable for individual bead adornment, just as you would with a standard FSL design, using water-soluble material.
( For detailed guidance and more information on free-standing lace, please refer to our blog post:

First of all, what is FSL embroidery?
For our Free Standing Lace embroidery designs, the embroidery threads create a woven stand-alone unit. After the water soluble stabilizer has disappeared, the connected embroidery threads support each other and thus the shape of the embroidery.
Free Standing Lace embroidery designs always must be embroidered on water soluble stabilizer. We typically work with two layers of SOLVY FABRIC water soluble stabilizer or a single layer of SOLVY 80 water soluble film.
Here are some things to remember when working with FSL embroidery designs:

When we create embroidery designs for children, we like to use creative solutions. We try to produce embroidery designs with a playful creativity that children have never encountered before.
A great example of this is our ribbon-legged, appliquéd animals, which are only partly embroidered. The legs - or the tail - can float freely. Children can happily explore these movable legs.
How to use these embroidery designs
We can only use these embroidery designs by using covering appliqué fabric on the animals' bodies. This will cover the ribbons’ end fasteners.
In the first step, the e ..read more

A timeless, unique and special Christmas decoration. We chose classic Christmas colors to create this pattern, but of course your color choice is limited only by your imagination! We hope you enjoy making it as much as we did.
1. You’ll need a 200 x 200 mm / 8x8 inch hoop for this. Place the foil in the hoop, and then the hoop into the machine. Make sure the foil is tight and wrinkle-free. (We worked on SOLVY 80 water-soluble foil.)
2. The machine will mark the location/position of the green material.
3. Place the green material on the BACK of the foil. Secure this with a ..read more

We wanted to create something special, that you don't see everywhere! We hope we made it!
Our new creation isn't just a simple crown embroidery design, it's a 3D FSL crown.
1. We worked on SOLVY 80 water soluble foil. Be sure to embroider on the pantograph side of the frame, as you can see in the picture. This is important, because it will ensure the embroidery stays neat despite its larger size.
2. When you have finished embroidering, remove the foil from the frame and tear off the embroidery.
The crown consists of 2 pieces - so you’ll need to do this process two times with our crown ..read more

In our web shop, we sell downloadable embroidery designs. To use our designs, you’ll need an embroidery machine.
Because we have a history of producing embroidery designs for industrial embroidery machines, we are experienced in ensuring that, as well as being beautiful, our designs will run on your embroidery machine as efficiently as possible. Achieving that balance between efficiency and beauty is very important to us.
Our process in producing our embroidery designs begins with a drawing. Next, we select the size we think is the most appropriate for that drawing. Then we carefully plan the ..read more
