Hello everybody, I'm a paramedic student in the United States. I've heard the NREMT is creating a new scenario based test. I have a question to all of you. is there any resources that you would become for this new test? Any test simulators that are up to date? Or just words of wisdom? Hey guys, so I’m on my last semester of medic class and need some help or advice! One of my final assignments is a 5 page research paper/essay. I’m not very good at writing papers, and would appreciate some topics on what to write about. Right now, I’m considering writing it over “pharmacological pain management” and would just go over topics like: - different drug classes (opioids, sedatives, analgesics, etc..) -each drug in the above classes -go over MOA in the body/ A+P of how it works -indications and preferences of when to use said drug -dosages and routes Contraindications/consideration ..read more

I am looking to start paramedic school in the fall and was wondering which of the two positions (IFT EMT or Clinic EMT) will benefit me the most as a side job in terms of patient contact experience as well as hands on experience during paramedic school. I don’t have much experience as a EMT at all and applied for both jobs and can’t decide wich position will benefit me more. Any thoughts? submitted by /u/Impossible-Drawing69 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey y'all I'm an EMT and recently have been really thinking about furthering my career and enrolling in Medic school. I'm based in NYC, and have narrowed my list to LaGuardia, BMCC, and St. Johns. I'm interested in the certificate programs, and was wondering if any graduates have any advice or recommendations. They all seem to be very good, respectable programs, are there really a lot of difference between them? Any info is greatly appreciated. :) submitted by /u/Primary_Zebra6461 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hello everyone , I’d like advice on what I can do. I’m 22 and I want to get into the medical field but I’m fearful of the math. I don’t know what to expect or what I should learn/practice. Id also like to know what are the first steps into becoming a EMT/paramedic. Are there programs that I can get into and then after do I have to do another program for paramedic or go to a community college? I’m not very good at math but I’m willing to learn. Any help and reccomendations I can get would be awesome. I live in the state of CA so if that helps awesome! (If I get a job also as a paramedic or EMT ..read more
