Hi! I have facial hyperhidrosis and found that antiperspirant helps somewhat. However, it dried my skin out really bad- what is everyone’s skincare routine like? Do you skip the moisturiser at night or apply after the antiperspirant ? Can you apply skin products like tretinoin or is that a no go? submitted by /u/_all4leyna [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’ve been struggling with hyperhidrosis for the last 5 years of my life. I am currently 26, I’m 6’1 180 lbs I was a college athlete so I’m still fit and in shape. I have tried so many methods to help my hyperhidrosis and nothing has worked. I have taken glyco pills up to 4-5 mg a day. While getting Botox regularly. I have also used any medical anti-perspirant known to man. I got desperate enough to even get Mira dry done where they essentially burn your sweat glands out and that still doesn’t work. I can sit in a 70 degree room and do nothing and still sweat from my armpits. I’m not sure if i ..read more

57 y/o male with high blood pressure, cholesterol and difficulty sleeping due to waking up after 3-5 hours drenched in sweat and having to change PJs looking for an option that may help. I had ETS surgery 30 years ago and my severe hand and feet hyperhidrosis converted to gustatory and facial & chest/back sweats. My high blood pressure and cholesterol are well controlled by medications and none of the three medications (Glyco, Oxybutynin or Terazosin) interfere with my medications. I also drink 2-3 glasses of wine most evenings. Terazosin is an alpha blocker that also helps reduce blood p ..read more

Hi folks, I have never been diagnosed with HH but am a heavy sweater sometimes for no apparent reason - could be heat, could be weight, could be something I ate, whatever. I need advise as to best way to stay dry through my wedding and to a lesser extent the honeymoon. I have 3 weeks, and am based in UK. I see folks mentioning Thompson tees but surely that makes you warmer too? I tried a powerful antiperspirant years ago which was good but made me feel quite itchy when I should have been sweating - I think it was a sweat guard one? Prescription isn't viable at this stage as it's near impossib ..read more

Stop asking me if im ok. Stop telling me I'm sweating. Stop telling me i'm hot. Stop telling me bring a face towel. Stop trying to laugh it off. No, Lighter clothes doesn't work, I sweat in the winter too. Carpe doesnt work, obidan doesnt work, oxybutinin makes my mouth dry, cant get glycopyrrolate in the UK. Full on faciocranial HH and general HH. Yes Its severe. Its 10/10 severe, think running a marathon bad. I Contemplated suicide before because of it, it has ruined my confidence and causes me to have social anxiety. submitted by /u/Maxsw8 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Iv been dealing with Hyperhydrosis for going on 10 years now, crazy thing is at first it started under my arms and over the years has moved to face. ( Even more embarrassing IMO). Well I just recently got promoted to a Lead position at work and this has negativity affected my HH sooo much. I will be talking to someone or a group of people and just start pouring sweat. At those times I don't know if it's better to wipe it off, ask if anyone else is hot, or just completely ignore it. Now I'm at the point of looking for a solution, in your guys opinion, with prescription, what are good anti pers ..read more
