hi guys, I am realizing that there are a lot of words in Hebrew that mean something like "great", "amazing", "awesome", "nice" etc. so if you would be so kind, let me ask you: what is the difference between all of these words? are some more formal, some more powerful, some used only in certain contexts? and could you please provide examples ? ? (feel free to only respond to a few of these words in a single comment, as I've included a lot here). thank you!!

Does Anyone have any recommendations on books for learning Hebrew? Preferably intermediate books, even below intermediate. I am trying to improve my speaking and listening comprehension skills. I have a decent Hebrew vocab but I still can’t process the words quick enough in my little brain to understand what is being said.
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ?

Hello,, I started to learn Hebrew maybe 2 months ago. So far I have started learning the paal verbs and mastered present and past tense pretty well but the future tense makes no sense to me. I don’t know if I am just stupid or no one explained it good enough for me so if anyone out there could give me a explanation I would be so thankful!
Thank youu??

Found this map in a market in Istanbul - clearly not Hebrew, does anyone know what this is? Our running theory is it's fake and just for looks

I just learned the word l'hitgashem as "to come true" and have discovered that a lot of words with the root G-Sh-M have the meaning of "realize, materialize, fulfillment".
So, my first thought was how beautifully poetic this is, the idea of ones dreams coming to them like rain, but then I was reminded of the song Bo'i and the line
אל תשאלי אותי על אושר אולי גם הוא יבוא כשהוא יבוא יורד עלינו כמו גשם
Poetically, is the use of imagery of blessings (bliss/happiness in this case) coming to one like rain falling from the heavens also reflective of the language of dreams coming true using words with ..read more
