Today I got another update. This time they chopped the tree into even smaller units, with only 1 topic per unit. As a result, there are now 95 units in my Hebrew tree...

@Ari Gregs script Is there no sound on anything? Or are you only getting some sound? Hebrew has recorded sentences and that is all the audio there is. So for listening exercises you'll get audio. Translation exercises usually have audio too.
Welcome to Duome! Excited to meet another Hebrew learner!

Hi,
I have been trying to start the Hebrew course the last couple of days. I can’t get any sound! (iPad iPhone and website) weird!
My other languages are fine.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I have reported it as a bug.

Not sure if this is from the same topic or one named the same.

Corinne, to reply to your post, starting with Okay. I know it's confusing: I would propose that any identify stands on 4 legs: (1) Heritage, (2) Self-identification, (3) Affiliations, practices and behavior, and (4) Recognition by others. I believe it can stand on 3 legs out of 4 indefinitely. To illustrate: thousands of years ago, before there were formal beit dins, Hok haShvut, the Taglit, 23andme and the vast ocean of relevant rabbinic literature - who was an Israelite? @Friedrich Rubinstein script That's not many, but of course then there's a lack of data and also translation of the data between tree and snake.

The statistics are most likely wrong. People may have completed their trees to the legendary level and then they were demoted after the transition to the snake. I have one such tree myself: in the tree view still legendary, in the snake view not even completed (in the meantime I have finished it on the snake but not to the legendary level yet) and on duome the course does not show as completed, not even to L1. I have another tree that was all legendary until about a year ago, then the course was extended so I lost the completed status. Here again I have brought that extended tree to level 3 in ..read more

If the statistics on Duome are up-to-date, there are currently 65 people who took the Hebrew course to legendary

I'm wondering how many people have taken the Hebrew course to legendary? I'm working on it but it's intense. It certainly shores up your understanding of grammar concepts and vocabulary if you don't use the word bank. I still try to stop the test and restart if I get 3 mistakes even though I have a schools account.
