I just got my ES about 6 weeks back. I bought a used 2021 F Sport and it came already tinted. The thing is, whoever had it tinted, had the back and rear windows tinted in "Limo tint". That's the description that I found in the Lexus Service History. I'm assuming "Limo tint" is probably 5% tint. When I was a teenager, I would have done limo tint but now it's freaking dark to me. My wife drives the car a majority of the time and to my surprise, she says she is good with it, but I'm not. She said she wouldn't have chosen that dark but she doesn't want to spend the money to have it changed. The ti ..read more

I have these codes in my 2022 ES250...
B1160 Short in curtain shield airbag RH squib circuit
B1166 status Current/History: open in curtain shield airbag (LH) squib circuit.
0 confirmed codes, 0 pending codes, 0 permanent codes..
What does this mean? Should I get it looked at?
I cleared the codes for now and rescanned it and they didn't come back..
I will drive the car for a few days and see if they come back.
The airbag light turns on and off (does not stay ON) when I turn the ignition on.
I assume it is not that serious but I am surprised to have airbag related code in this vehicle ..read more

I've got a 2019 ES350 UL and was wondering is it just the seats that are semi-aniline? Want to make sure I'm not wasting conditioner on surfaces that don't actually need conditioned ..read more

Had planned to change the oil on the '23 ES350. The design of the protective cover underneath is new to me. I am accustom to seeing a cover held by four 10mm head screws. This one is different. So I am here to learn how to properly remove that cover without breaking something on my maiden voyage. Thanks for any info.
What is the correct way to remove this cover to access the oil filter ..read more

Former GX owner currently with a 2013 Sequoia as a daily driver. My Sequoia has 156K trouble free miles and I still love everything about the vehicle, except the 15.3mpg average. I'm considering buying a second vehicle that gets much better mileage with some creature comforts. I know I'll have extra insurance and maintenance costs, but I need to truck for towing and other uses.
The ES300H seems to be a good fit. I live in an apartment, so EV's aren't the most convenient. There is a 2022 F-Sport at Spirit Lexus in St Louis that I've been watching online. https://www.spiritlexus.com/inventor ..read more

Purchased a '24 ES 350 Lux in February that included the 'factory' Dash Cam glued to the windshield. We have never been able to make it work (connect to my iPhone, that is.)
Took it back to the dealer today and sat with a Tech for 2 hours while he tried to make it work, but couldn't. He ended up calling Lexus but they told him they had no ideas and to call the Dash Cam third party vendor who Lexus subs for that option. He did that but was put on permanent hold.
In frustration he tried disconnecting the car's battery, but that had no effect either.
Finally he reached out to the shop manager, w ..read more

My outside air temperature dash display was stuck at 73° for a few days then creeped up a few degrees on a hot day. Not sure if this is hardware or software. Is there a way to reboot or should I just replace sensor? Seems unlikely that 4 yo sensor would fail. Thanks ..read more

Trademark filings found by AutoGuide indicate that Lexus is planning an expansion of its ES sedan lineup. The series of filings show trademarks for a Lexus ES350h, ES350e, and ES500e.
