Does anyone know if you can anneal photo etch using an induction stove top? I’m in the process of bending a good amount of photo etch, and I am reading that you should anneal photo-etch when you are working with complex curves and bends. I am familiar with annealing larger PE with open flame, and using an electric stove burner to anneal finer, more intricate photoetch, such as stairs, grilles, etc. However, I have an induction stove top. I am wondering if I can anneal with an induction stove...

Without losing the main focus on my Le Coureur, I would like to introduce you to one of my other modeling hobbies, 0 gauge railroading. During the Christmas holidays I was cleaning out my extensive DVD collection and realized that the 4 shelves that become free could be perfect for displaying railroad models.
Since I have nestled 4 different railroads in my long modelling life, I would like to introduce each of them on a shelf.
German Federal Railroad DB Epoche 3 (approx. 1950...

Currently 2/3 through a scratch build diorama. Because I am new to modelling it has taken a long time to get this far.
I have many photographs to download, so they will be posted on a daily basis until they catch up to where I am at with the project.
Last year, the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum (NSW, Australia) acquired the original console (1964) for the nearby Wardell Lift-Span Bridge.
The museum has been looking for ways to start introducing interactive displays, and the...

I am using the HMS Fly 1/64 to represent an event in my family history, this ship is a similar style to to what the British navy used along the Scottish coast. A group of my fellow clansmen decided it would be a great idea to hijack a sloop while the soldiers were off pillaging the neighbourhood. They killed the watch and cast off with great enthusiasm and self congratulations. After much drinking and drifting they came to their senses the next day and realized none of them knew how to...

HI all
After looking at Ekis Medieval Village, I got the urge to have a go.
After hunting around I found that Aedes Ars, the maker of the Medieval kit, had others available on Amazon Australia international
I purchased the kit for $180 Australian.
This is my build of the Country Village Diorama.
I have never done a Diorama before, so not only is the kit going to be fun but I will learn how to do realistic rivers, fields & landscapes.
Whilst there is no scale on the kit, others in the...
