Hello, I am applying for a FLR(IR) visa. Moving from a T5 visa to my husband’s ancestry visa. We are only getting standard service as an option. We have tried for over 10 days at 1am to get a slot but nothing. Are there any other ways around this as I often need to leave the country for work. Would it be that I am applying 2 months before my current visa expires? submitted by /u/ExpensivePineapple66 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Has anyone here applied recently of a child dependent visa recently separate from your spouse visa application? Is it true that the standard application now may take up to 6 months? Or could it be earlier than that? I dont want to apply priority as the fees are already excessive, and I will be applying for 2 kids. If so, as my country requires TB testing which has a validity of 6 mos, by the time the visa results come out th ..read more

Hello - apologies this is a long post. I have run into a bit of a problem which I am hoping to solve the cheapest way possible. I arrived in the UK in September of 2017 on a student visa and I have maintained residence here continuously since then. I am getting married this September so was naturally preparing to switch over to the spouse visa. I have just recently learned that after 10 years of residence, through whatever visas, you are eligible for ILR. I will be eligible for ILR (September 2027) 6 months after my first spouse visa expires if I apply soon. Essentially I would have to pay fo ..read more
