Hello, I'm in a very similar situation. - ILR granted in 2014 - BRP card expiring mid May. - Submitted application for replacement card in February. Biometric appointment on last week of Feb. - Received email to apply eVisa last week. Successfully created UKV&I account and linking eVisa. Received confirmation of eVisa. - Received email notification two days ago, RC application was successful.Received new BRP card today, with the expiry date 31-12-2024. New BRP has a different number. I guess I should re-link the new BRP to my UKV&I account? Statistics: Posted by Foreign-Kangaroo8733 ..read more

The challenge is,if I go in to view my status,I only see Application forms instead of my photo and my status I tried again and the system is showing that my evisa is either not ready to be viewed yet or my application has not yet been decided yet.I have a valid biometric card that expires in 2024. Has anyone faced this kinda challenge in viewing the evisa?Any help will be appreciated. Thank you You have appl ..read more

If you got ILR, your previous BRP was cancelled and it is now invalid. The new invite ONLY refers to your ILR BRP Statistics: Posted by zimba — Thu May 02, 2024 7:50 pm ..read more

Once again, question is: The email below is reference the now superseded FLR(M) BRP. Does this apply to our new SET(M) BRP, which I have been advised, is arriving in the post tomorrow? Is the FLR BRP you already have expiring on 31/12/2024? what's the expiry date on the card? If you were told in the ILR decision letter that you'll receive a BRP, then register for an eVisa as instructed using the new card. The BRP card you're about to receive after ILR approval will expire on 31/12/2024 as you'll see when delivered. Statistics: Posted by lolo2 — Thu May 02, 2024 5:10 pm ..read more

GP visits should be free but it's up to the GP practice to decide whether or not they'll accept new patients. Any other NHS treatment will be charged when appropriate, including any treatment at the A&E. You receive the service and then the NHS will send you a bill for the treatment provided Thanks for your response. I just read what Hospital treatment means and it is only related to being admitted in the hospital and receiving treatment and services. GP and A&E are free, until you have to have been referred for further treatment or admitted or emergency basis. https://www.nhs.uk ..read more

There's a site where someone wanting to come to the UK can see if they need a visa and what type of visa depending on their purposes. https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa Applying for a visit visa to bring parents (or grandparents) to look after children have been discussed extensively on this forum. We've seen that literally every application sent with that as the reason of the visit is denied. Traditionally it's common to have some help from other family members when raising kids, but that's a form of work (nanny or domestic worker) for immigration purposes and it's seen as such by UKVI. Thank you. Home Office doesn't publish detailed guidance for all manner of scenarios. And there are no specific visas for child care. Where do I look for visa application for EU nationals, please? Many thanks. Statistics: Posted by Daisy321 — Thu May 02, 2024 10:37 am ..read more

Ok, many thanks for the link. 1. I understand if she was about to come only for a family visit she can stay up to 6 months without visa? Yes - if visitor is a non-visa national. Non-visa nationals must still abide by all rules of visitor visas, for example no work. May be asked at the border about purpose of trip, return ticket, etc. 2. If she was about to come to help with kids she would have to apply for working visa? Do you have a link for it, so I can check it up?
