Hey, Hope you are all well! My partner is applying for the spouse visa for the first time from within the UK. She is currently on a graduate visa. We are married and therefore meet the criteria for the application without having to provide evidence of 2 years of cohabitation. We have lived together for 1 month which is fine under the requirements. However, we keep getting a tick box coming up saying 'I confirm I will provide items of correspondence for xx and xx at the same address as evidence you have lived together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you fir ..read more

Hi Just a simple question regarding ILR processing times. I Know the UKVI website says time processing up to 6 months, but I just want to know if anyone got their ILR application decided sooner than this or took longer than this. I submitted my application on the 11th of March. If anyone wants to share their experience, that would be great. Thanks in advance ..read more

I am British, my wife is a US citizen and we married in 2004. In a couple of months we will be applying for her spouse visa using the cash savings route from the sale of our main residence. We are living in the USA. Our assets have always been in joint names, but the short-term lease agreement on the house we recently began renting is in her name only. I had to return to the UK to tend to an important family matter at the time she signed the agreement and moved in. Normally, we would have done this together. For the purpose of the visa application, should I be concerned that my name is not o ..read more

Hi all, first time posting here, having spent a lot of time on the USA portion of the site, hoping to get some clear advice on visas and steps for a potential move back to the UK. I seem to go around in circles on the .gov site and nothing seems to quite apply to our circumstances (and the site is crashing right now!) I am a British Citizen, married to a French Citizen, we lived together in London, for 12+ years before moving to the US in Jan 2016, prior to Brexit. We have 2 kids, one born in London, one born in the US. In the case where we move back to the UK, having left our jobs in the US ..read more

Hi everyone, my husband needs to apply for ILR this month. However, his passport and national ID have both expired. We have had ongoing issues in his home country with a falsified case against him, meaning renewal is not straightforward. He had a valid UK driving licence, his expired passport, expired national ID card and birth certificate. He has completed his 5 years on spouse visa. We have two boys under the age of two. Any support and guidance of this would be appreciated ..read more

Hi folks, thanks again for the past help I got here when submitting my initial spouse visa application from the US in 2021! Now I'm just finishing up the online application process for my FLR(M) and the final stuff to do is just different enough that I thought I'd ask you all for clarification on a couple things: When I get to the final pay-your-money page for the application fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) fee, is that when it allows me to upload supporting documents? Will I be uploading them at the same location or do I get sent to the UKVCAS/Sopra Steria Website to upload th ..read more
