BVM Hi-Flow pnematic controller question

This is for a BVM King Cat. 1. Charges to 100 psi. 2. Leak test is good (let it set overnight) 3. I get atleast 3 gear cycles before running out of air. All of this is good. What I did notice was there is some air loss when the cylinder goes forward as shown in photo (can't remember if this is up or down). Question(s): 1. Is there a O-Ring inside the body that is attached to the cylinder? I really don't want to take off the c clip unless there is an o-ring since there is really nothing there would be to do. 2. Is it normal for these to leak a smidge when exercising the gear? The leak appears t ..read more

We have just release the new CARF-Models F-4 Phantom! Just like the real F-4 Phantom it’s big - about 170” long (depending on nose configuration) twin turbine, features key elements of the full size jet that made it the sinister looking monster of a fighter it was. The details of this model aren’t next level, it is in its own new category - ultra scale. Check out this video for a full overview of the scale details. F4 Showroom Movie Large (3 min 27 sec) It’s impressive in the air, flying angle of attack as it should, yet feels light… and most importantly for the USA customers, it ..read more

BVM King Cat wing tip ding. Carbon fiber.I dropped it off a table onto the floor and dinged the wingtip. Looking for ideas on how to fix properly without it being a big deal. Also, it will take a very small amount of paint so I will need to go close on that. see photo Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A ..read more

I am having issues with the throttle position on a new KT 160 G4. I did run it on the test stand and it did not have the issue. Installed in a KING CAT and it appears the throttle values are too low. It does auto start, run a full power and idle, however, it will not shut off in the throttle stop position of idle, trim down. I have attached all the relevant information here. It appears: 1. the throttle values are too low as per KT manual. 2. The difference between idle and stop throttle position is minimal. Any help appreciated. Preset Failsafe already set up and confirmed working. Attached F ..read more

BVM KingCat All fuel components are BVM (lines/UAT/tanks/etc. Sullivan header tank (as directed by BVM plans) King Tech 160 G4+ I am in the process of planning my fuel system for the KingCat. The fuel system is laid out as per BVM plans. This is my first turbine so I am looking for some basic advice on the 6mm fuel line between the header and the UAT. As shown in the photo the BVM fuel line running from the header to the UAT is kinking. I know there are a lot of opinions out there concerning tygon vs. “BVM”. Here are a few questions and considerations: Due to the stiffness of the fuel line I ..read more

I am in the process of installing a King Tech 160 G4 on a BVM King Cat. The King Cat was bought used with a different engine that was not sold with the airplane. As you can see from the photo, the aluminum bracket is not wide enough nor do the holes match up. Unsure of some companies out there make adapter plates. I am interested in what others have done as I’m sure it has been encountered before. Thanks, Mike Attached Thumbnails Views: N/A ..read more

Fuel supply question King Tech 160 G4+

I am setting up my first turbine {BVM King Cat}on a test stand and ran into some questions. KingTech 160G +4 I have a BVM U.A.T. with 6mm fittings for both FILL and OUT to FUEL CUTOFF. I have the included King Tech fuel filter that is 4mm IN/4mm OUT. I have the included KingTech Fuel Pump which has a 4mm fuel line IN and a 6mm fuel line OUT. I did research BVM catalog to see if there was a 4mm fitting for the UAT, however, I did not see one. So I am “stuck” as the UAT 6MM OUT will not plug into the 4mm IN of the supplied KingTech fuel shutoff valve. I attempted to use another fuel cutoff valve ..read more
