The Pig’s Ear pub, owned by brothers Richard and Oliver Gladwin, has opened its doors on Old Church Street, Chelsea.  Tucked between King’s Road and the Chelsea embankment, the building is a “long-time favourite” of locals. Loungers officially opens largest venue in Bristol

Loungers has officially opened its largest Lounge venue to date, Ritorno Lounge, in Bristol this week. Ritorno Lounge has opened in “the city where it all began” and is located in Bristol’s Harbourside. The venue benefits from an outside terrace overlooking Pero’s Bridge, a 10.5-metre-long feature bar, and a huge mural that pays homage to Lounges across the UK. Arc Inspirations, the operator of Box bars, Banyan and Manahatta, has reported that total sales doubled, with like-for-like sales rising 79%, during the seven days up to the Euros final. Roadchef has returned to profitability during 2023 after seeing its revenues jump 16.9% to £256m. It comes as the group reported profits before tax of £13.4m for the period, up from a previous loss of £6.6m. During the year, Roadchef welcomed over 49 million visitors to its motorway service areas and a further 2.5 million in its drive thrus.  Stonegate Group has invested £2.6m across four of its Slug and Lettuce venues. Nightcap shareholders approve plan to go private in August

Bar operator Nightcap has announced that its shareholders approved its plans for the group to re-register as a private company with the name ‘Nightcap Limited’ on or around 15 August as its AGM. Meanwhile, pursuant to the passing of Resolution 1, the group’s cancellation of admission of the company’s ordinary shares to trading on AIM will become effective on 29 July. Roadchef has returned to profitability for the year ended 31 December 2023 after seeing its revenues jump 16.9% to £256m. It comes as the group reported profits before tax of £13.4m for the period, up from a previous loss of £6.6m. The group’s net assets also rose during the year from £16m in January to £23.1m by December 2023. Stonegate Group has announced the opening of Slug and Lettuce in Albert Square, Manchester, following a £2.6m investment across four of its venues.
