Visit this free Moodle course where you can enroll and test the interactivities for yourself. The H5P drag-and-drop interactivity In these three brief exercises, I tried to see if one could use H5P's drag-and-drop exercises to assess the attainment of learning outcomes of three of the levels of Bloom's Taxonomy: I tried to use non-trial content to see if one could go beyond berries and other edibles to explain H5P to educators:-) Notes on Creating These Interactivities: H5P Drag and Drop Interactivity: Utilized the H5P Drag and Drop feature, allowing learners to drag images onto one ..read more

Creating and Deploying Digital Educational Resources.

Say, you have a lesson in PowerPoint that is going to change the world and break YouTube. First, you have to get it out there.  So, save your PowerPoint as an MP4 file then Open Microsoft’s Clipchamp and choose to create a new video. One of the first things you should do is decide on a name for your video and the aspect ratio that would be suitable for your project. Different platforms desire/require different aspect ratios. Import your MP4 media file here or record something new or use a template. Click the plus sign to add your video to the timeline. Now you can snip and adjust ..read more

PowerPoint and some free tools give limitless possibilities Did you know it takes four easy steps to include a quiz in your PowerPoint presentation? What is more, your learners can respond online to it and you can get their responses online. All you must do is follow these steps:  1. Your first step will be to build your lesson or learning material in PowerPoint.  2. Secondly, you should develop your quiz in Google Forms.  3. Thirdly, because Google Forms live online, it is a simple matter of linking to it from PowerPoint.  4. Finally, if you choose, Google Forms will a ..read more

Make an animated Process Flow in PowerPoint

(Explore this course as well) Make an animated Process flow. One can create an animated process flow in PowerPoint using a .jpg image overlaid on the animation. The .jpg can be "cut out" to create the impression of movement behind the .jpg image. One could, for example, reveal what is happening in a pipe system: The action on the left is what is desired. The action on the right illustrates the point of layering the .jpg file on top of the arrows. Compare the two images of the selection tabs. In this arrangement, the arrows will be visible at the incorrect times. To cr ..read more

Make a Custom Shape in PowerPoint.
Creating and Deploying Digital Educational Resources.

Make a Custom Shape in PowerPoint. We will hardly ever use all the shapes available in PowerPoint, but sometimes we need a shape that is not available. For example, we may need a shape that resembles a film strip. Something like this.  To make a shape like this needs only a few keystrokes and a few seconds in PowerPoint. I started by drawing a blue rectangle and then clicked on it, held the Ctrl key down, and dragged it to make an exact duplicate of the rectangle. I made this second rectangle smaller and repeated the process runs as follows: Once you have all your little b ..read more
