Ingredients: (Serves 3)
Barnyard Millet Flakes (Kuthiraivali aval/ குதிரைவாலி அவல்) – 3/4 cup
Cow’s milk (whole) – 3 cups
Pistachio – 1/4 cup (Soaked for couple of hours, drained & gently crushed)
Water – 1 cup
Powdered Jaggery – 1/2 cup (Use Sugarcane jaggery or Palm jaggery)
Dry ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Saffron – a pinch
Boil milk & water and add millet flakes. Let it cook till the flakes turn soft. Switch off the stove and add powdered jaggery, pistachios, dry ginger powder, cardamom powder and saffron and mix well. Serve it warm.

Roasted and Powdered Walnuts – 2 1/4 cups
Powdered Sugar cane jaggery – 1 cup (You can also use Palm Jaggery)
Roasted Carob Powder – 1/4 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Dry ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Clove powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Nutmeg powder – a pinch
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Make small ladoos.
Note
Since I used good quality powdered jaggery, I did not dissolve it in water to remove impurities. The jaggery was already clean.

Patty made of finely shredded beetroot, boiled & mashed Black-eyed peas, Red Poha powder (Flattened Rice), Turmeric powder, Homemade masala powder, black pepper powder, salt and oil (for shallow frying).
