I've been connecting with King and Carla for the past three years. On various occasions Carla would schedule a session when something was going on with her sweet boy, but she wasnt able to fully put her finger on it. Sessions with King are always clear and profound and I am always in awe of Carla's openhearted willingness to support her boy in what he needs or desires. Here's what Carla says about our sessions: As soon as I notice something is up with my horse, Eske has become my first call. Eske has the beautiful ability to deeply connect to your animal, offering a safe space for them to bri ..read more

Creating cooperation with your horse

When we have a horse in our lives, we are essentially in a relationship with another being. That relationship can be as simple or complex as the relationship you share with your parents, a partner, friend, or work colleague. This relationship with your horse can evoke some intense feelings of joy, fulfilment, love, anger, frustration, sadness or even hopelessness. Often, these feelings are dependent on a result of some sort, like asking your horse to walk with you from her/his stable to the grooming bay, asking your horse to load in the trailer, riding your horse or simply being with your hor ..read more

How does Animal Communication work?

I get asked so often how this works, mostly because it sounds really unbelievable and frankly impossible. I get it, trust me, I was there, I had all the same questions! For me, to start, we need to delve deeper into how we perceive our horse. Is he or she more like a living object that you place in a spot or demand an action from and that’s that. Or is this a thinking, feeling creature with valid thoughts and feelings. These two are very wide apart, and to me, the approach you choose determines the outcome from your horse. From here, a space of deep respect for these thinking, feeling beings ..read more

Supporting your horse through change

I recently connected with a horse who had gone through a big change- a move and a new human. For us as humans, this doesn’t seem like a ‘big deal’, for us horses move and get sold all the time, but if you take a moment to really feel into what this means for the horse, it’s actually pretty huge. Think back to the most recent move that you yourself made, maybe from one home to another, or maybe from one country to another. Aside from all the admin like packing etc, it’s an intimidating change, settling and grounding into a new space. Now imagine with all that, adding on more components, like m ..read more

Asking Permission from your Horse

One of the biggest things I always practice when connecting with a horse, either for an intuitive session or for a physical reason, like putting on a halter or entering their stable is asking permission. I do this very intentionally to give this divine being, a horse, the choice of allowing me into his or her space or not. It seems like a small practice and in reality, it only take a moment to ask and feel whether it’s a yes or a no response from the horse, but the weight behind this practice is huge and the impact it has on you, the horse and your relationship is massive. Here’s what happens ..read more

Caprice and her family

I recently shared a beautiful session with a chestnut mare, Caprice and her family. There were many profound moments that we experienced, and she had some sacred pieces that she wanted to share with her family about her (and their) past and her physical body, but the overarching feeling that she had towards her family really humbled me. With this mare and her human family, there is so much love, appreciation and joy that is shared between them, and the way Caprice shows up for her family is beautiful. Caprice totally adores her family and what is my favourite to see, is how they adore her too ..read more

A horse that told me to leave

Yesterday, while working with a horse, he told me to leave. He didn’t politely ask or hint, he straight forward told me to get out of his stable and leave. I was a pretty shocked and a part of me wanted to assert myself in this dynamic, a wiser part of me agreed to leave. So, I did. I thanked him for his time and left. About half an hour later I casually returned to him, asking if he was open to chat now, he was taken aback by my response to respect what he asked instead of engaging in a power-over role with him. Just this simple act of honouring his momentarily clear and big ‘No’, created an ..read more
