Hey guys i currently have this really weird problem where my transmission cant shift to 4th when cold. You feel the car reducing the torque for a few seconds but the shift never succeeds when cold. It even tries a few times before essentially giving up, it will shift 1-2-3 but wont let you manually select the gear and itll throw a 151 code that says the gear comparison is sporadically negative or the target gear has not been achieved. Hey guys, i’ve lost the hope to find out the reason car shaking sometimes on idle but runs great. Been ti few mechanics and all the time the check engine code show different errors. Egr sensor,EGR itself -replaced next day shaking,MAF replaced-next day shaking,fuel pump replaced-next day shaking,then showed coil and wire on Cyl 6 replaced-still shaking. My infrared keyfobs no longer work and trying to replace them has been frustrating. Therefore I am wanting to install a cheap aftermarket keyless entry. The issue is I have no clue as to which wires on pnuematic door close vacuum pump to use. A few weeks ago, I had the dubious judgment of taking my car out on interstate five when we had a storm of biblical proportions. Hello from Berlin, last week I have the same problem with my w210 E240 1998 until the car leaving me in the corner almost 250m from my house. I have the same code 1580 and some other also. The problem solved by changing the fuel pump with the original from Firma Pierburg.The ECU read low pressure and start go crazy with everything. Now I have plenty power and stable rpm. Hello I was hoping someone could lead me to the correct torque sequence and specs for cylinder head bolts on a 1997 E 320. It has the inline 6 cylinder. I have new bolts as I understand these are use once and throw away bolts..... My research has led me to believe 41ft lbs and then 90 degrees and then another 90 degrees. Hey all, Was wondering if I could get some help with my dad’s Mercedes. Car has been stuck in limp mode. I have swapped the conductor plate, and when I try and read codes through the 38pin connector in the engine bay, I’ve received: Fault Is Stored In Component N15/3(ETC [EGS] Control Unit). My 1999 e320 has a very firm/stiff feel when braking. It brakes just fine, pads are good. I am used to my Honda and Suburban where the pedal is nice and soft as it is well assisted by the power brake mechanism. With the benz it seems almost as if there is no or little power assist. This is my first benz and the previous owner stated they all have this type of feel and that if I searched forums I would see that. I have yet to find anyone with that issue. So I have a 2001 e320 w210 with the v6 base and I just changed my alternator because of some overvoltage issues. My problems went away briefly but I'm getting a check alternator battery warning. When diagnosed there is an instrument panel error that says overvoltage on engine running signal wire. Haven't seen this problem before. Any suggestions? Thanks ..read more
