This issue has been happening quite frequently lately and I can not figure out the source of it. I can be in the middle of watching something on YouTube and it will just stop playing and will not restart, often resulting in either closing the tab or closing FF completely, and upon reloading, it plays flawless. So without an argument about the ethics of adblocking, I have uBlock Origin installed, and now that Google is stopping the use of Ad blocking on YouTube. I have found a script that runs in GreaseMonkey that bypasses the popup that insists on you disabling the adblocking, however, now after 10 seconds of watching a video, it suddenly pauses, so I have to restart the video. I have been tasked with assisting someone who is using a laptop with an i5 and 4GB of RAM with an HDD, not an SSD. Firefox uses over 50% of the CPU and between 500 to 1 GB of the system's RAM. Putting an SSD in will improve some, and upgrading the RAM (if possible) would also help, but the laptop is quite old and it's questionable whether or not it would be worth putting money into it. I followed the link from Neowin to https://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?system=true&standalone=1&platform=win64 and downloaded the file which was supposed to be for the 64 bit version 109 of Chrome but when I went to install it on my other Windows 7 computer, it tried to go online and download the browser and install it and the installation failed. I connected that computer to the internet and the same thing happened. I believe the download was for the newest version which will not install on Windows 7. The file I downloaded was around 75 MB.
