I’m looking to buy a camera thats somewhat decent at photography, I found the Canon EOS RP body renewed for $600, is it a good deal or what’s another camera for about the same price or less that I should buy? I was also thinking about buying the 24-105 mm f4-f7.1 lens and then maybe another one in a few weeks if that’s a good buy ..read more

After an unstable tripod broke my Nikon D5100's lens, I have been shooting video with an older Canon Vixia HF-R62 and have realized that shooting video with a camera actually designed for that purpose is a significantly better experience. As such, I am now in the market for specifically a video camera. My criteria are simply that it looks better than the Vixia (3.28MP, 1920x1080 60P video @35mbps) and, of course, is explicitly designed for video (meaning it does not have a maximum recording time of 20 minutes, like the Nikon, and features autofocus during video). Almost all of the ones I can f ..read more

Back in 2018 i found an old camera om my dad`s stuff while my parents were separating. In 2019 i bought a film to use on the camera, took all the 36 photos in 3 years, 2019 to 2021.
When i sent it to be cured / developed, (idk the proper term for the process), the film had basically no photo in it.
A few days ago i found the camera again on my stuff, and i disassembled it because it looked fun to do it, and put it back together. the flash did not work before, and it doesn`t work anymore (i cutted the wires to be able to disassemble it ) it should still work, but films are ..read more

(sorry if wrong subforum)
My work tasked me to get a security camera to monitor the amount of golf balls in the machine that gives them out, and I have no idea where and what to look for
Requirements:
good low light
able to look at feed from a phone/app/website
ability to have a few drops of water get on it (not a splash but some wetness)
Does *not* need to have:
Really good quality
motion sensing
audio
"moveability"
high framerate
If someone could point me into the right direction it would be awesome
again, sorry if this is not the correct place to ask ..read more

This is mainly about DJI Osmo Pocket 3 with external mic transmitter, but I guess could be treated generically as it can't be a new problem. I'm wondering what's the best way to ensure everything is in sync? Clapper board? If the offsets noted below are fixed I guess I only need to work it out once then manually apply it.
The camera itself has a built in 3 mic array that records a stereo track by default, but it does badly in the presence of wind with no easy physical solution to improve it.
I tried the wireless mic transmitter that came with it. This is a mono mic ..read more

Hi. I'm considering getting a camera. I want to get a Canon camera (R100 mirrorless) but I've heard that Canon cameras break easily or break after a few uses. Of course, I think it could be because the owners mistreating their cameras but I'd like to know
1. If this is true
2. If it is true, does it apply to their mirrorless units too ..read more
