Morning All! I'm new here so I'll start by saying hi, but it's not a happy hi! Yesterday my A200d (2016) started smoking (white) under acceleration. My initial thought was, head gasket as I jumped to the worst case, as always! However, I googled and decided to fill the tank and add a shot of Redex. This seems to haver make everything worse today The car is smoking still, but worse. But it is only doing it under heavy load i.e. hard acceleration/having to work hard driving up hill. Guys been in this issue 2 weeks now, alternator belt snapped, car was being used by a friend who not only didn't realise, but continued to drive it without it, this hammered the battery's, the tensioner and belt has subsequently been replaced, I've checked the fuses and the auxiliary battery, all of which is fine, however the comfort elements on the car will not come on , head unit isn't getting power/ and the sos system won't activate, is there a voltage regulator issue? I recently had a short happen to me when I was looking at a broken plastic clip on the ECU housing. I was just trying to get the part # to replace it, so I wasn't expecting to work on the car and need to disconnect the battery. When I rotated the ECU to see the back of the cracked plastic part on it, a piece of the metal enclosing the ECU hit the positive terminal on the battery and caused an arc, and now the car won't start. I can get into accessory mode and see the display on the dash and radio screen, but no ignition when I hit the starter. I checked the main fuse box and they're all fine ..read more

Hey, My w176 A180 has a problem when refueling. When refueling the car, excess pressure builds up in the tank and fuel comes out of the fuel pipe. Where do you think the problem is? Any help would be massively appreciated ..read more
