Hi, Just upgraded 60Ah to 94Ah pack using EOS tester and ISTA-D. Mostly fine and 50% more range but has thrown up some errors. Car is 2014 BEV with heat pump, pack came from REX. Looks like some confusion with SME coding (REX has no heat pump). Can E-sys or ISTA -P be used to encode pack ? Appreciate need for 13.8V PSU for latter. Thanks ..read more

After accelerating to pass someone a drivetrain malfunction error popped up on center dispaly and the car went into neutral. I turned it off and was able to start up and drive a short distance home. Can someone help? I am retrofitting HK in a non HK i3. I just installed a woofer on the passenger footwel. However the trim piece that covers it doesn't seem to fit. The HK woofer seems to be bigger than the original woofer and so the screws that fix the trim are too short... Also note that the woofer extends towards the fusebox assembly... interfering with it when it opens... The HK woofer I am installing is also from an i3. What am I missing? I disconnected the HV plug in the frunk. Now I just want to plug it back on. Should be simple, but the plug doesn't go down... I did push the left green tab out to unlock, and I see it completely out. But the plug just does not want to go down... Please help... the car doesn't move without this... The fault codes (which I'll get and post here) indicate the HV 'switch contactors' are open due to a fault, which I assume is the root of it not charging. I believe this happened when a home charger, running on 110v (nothing too powerful) had a spike in voltage. The car has been parked now for a year as well. I've just updated the ECUs and seem to get more detail now from ISTA, which indicates several of the cells are below where they should be in terms of charge, etc., but if I could get... 2016 i3 will not charge ..read more

Hey guys, so I have a 2018 i3s, and would like to activate full screen carplay. My head unit is running idrive6 with NBTEVO_P, and I have carpaly from factory. In bimmercode the full screen option can only be enabled from NBTEVO_X, but I would not like to update the software, unless it is necessary. Can this be done in e-sys on the P version? On our motorways the max speed is 130, I typically drive 143 (+10% as allowed, measured from GPS not speedo). On my i3 that would be around 149/150km/h on the speedo, but ACC only allows 140. I don't think 10km/h more will impact the safety of the ACC in any significance, so I'd like to increase it's limit ti 150 instead of 140. anyone know how to do that? Quick question: From what I have seen the rear door speakers (in Harman Kardon cars) are mounted in a door frame. The back of the speaker is on the outside part, where the only thing separating it from the external elements is the exterior door panel. I am starting to get frustrated about the quality issues of the i3s I bought... from a bmw dealer as a Premium Selection ... or am I being picky? You decide! 1.
