Hello, I recently bought a 06 Z4 3.0i with the N52 engine. When I bought the car, AC was not working and the blower motor was not blowing enough air. I scanned (launch bi-directional scanner) IHKA for codes and found 2 codes. 1) Transport mode 2) Code related to pressure sensor. With the scanner, I was able to activate the AC compressor and the compressor kicked in and blew cold air. I deleted the transport mode and the blower motor started working. I then replaced the pressure sensor and was able to clear the code. However, AC is still not working. I then read the values using the scanner a ..read more

Hello Bimmerpost, so I replaced my moms 2003 z4 convertible top upholstery. I have it all back together except for the very short flat screw which goes through this strap and attach to the frame. View post on imgur.com I see there are a few hardware boxes for the top but which one has the screw I need? It's a special screw of some kind, I remember it was very short but with a fairly flat head to sit more or less flush with that ring it pins down. I dont think I got my picture to work ..read more

good afternoon. my 2004 z4 convertible top stopped going up or down, either by key turning in the door, or with the below dash buttons. i see a red light when i try to lower it i don't think i saw when it was working. the FOB buttons have never worked but i could raise and lower it by turning the key in the door lock but the top or the windows don't come down of up any longer. it worked great the day before and then poof. any ideas? fuse? hopefully not the top motor. thanks in advance ..read more

I have this rubbing noise than a squeek when i turn the steering wheel. But it only happens in parking speeds. Its coming from the engine bay and near the firewall. Is there anything I should lube? And what lube do you guys use? Thanks ..read more

I can't remember where I read this, but seems like manual Z4s suffer from a pressure plate rattle noise when the clutch is disengaged. I usually notice it only when I switch the engine off, but yesterday I was idling while waiting at the drive through and couldn't believe how much louder the noise is when it's bouncing off the wall. Needless to say, felt a little embarrassed between all the other cars there and had to keep my clutch engaged to shut it up. Hi everybody. I have a problem that's driving me crazy. I shut the passenger door on my Z4 recently and I can't get it open now. Neither the interior nor exterior door handles will actuate the latch to open the door. When you go to unlock the door with the key, the lock stalk will pop 3 times and doesn't seem to actually unlock. working through a minor coolant leak in my 2003 Z4 3.0L, just over 75k miles oddities I've noticed: -with the temps warmer, and with regular driving, not seeing the leak at the bottom of the engine bay each day i'm checking -the car sat for about 2 weeks and had a small puddle on the engine underneath cover, in the middle, but no leak since then so my questions are this: 1) if it were the water pump seal failing, wouldn't I see coolant leaking as I check daily? not that I don't expect to replace it soon, trying to pinpoint my work at the moment to a more exact area 2) brand recommendations f ..read more
