Hello from western Alberta, just joined your forum and my first post. Wife and I have got striped bass on our bucket list, we plan on coming to N.B. sometime from mid Sept to mid Oct. to go fishing. Never been before and would like to fish a couple days for stripes and maybe do a day or two on the ocean. Is the time of year good for stripes? Hey, I've got an oddball question most people might not understand but hopefully someone can give me some advice. I'm a kayak fishermen that has NEVER fished the Miramichi river during the striper run in May but have seen and heard lots of things about it. I've been trying to get into fishing and now I would like to try fishing striped bass, I'm going to take a trip up Miramichi way but I do not have a boat, is there any decent locations I can get to on foot that aren't private land? I've heard red Bank is a good spot but doesn't seem shore fishing friendly. I was also looking at Barnaby river, not sure if it's good though. I'm not looking for honey holes or anything, just general locations I can actually access as I don't know the areas... Need help ..read more
