Finish Texture Issues

I'm skim coating a room that had terrible texture on the wall. Sanded it off, two coats of Gardz now skimming with Plus 3. I'm going for smooth but my skills with the taping knife aren't great. I've done some other sections and they look alright but this has me concerned. Not sure what you'd call this so I included a photo. This mostly happens when I'm trying to join the top and bottom sections I've mudded together. I'm not tall enough to reach all the way to the ceiling so I have to do it... I’m trying to “fix up” the old, beat-up drywall in my bathroom. What should I do to these imperfections before priming and painting? Especially, what should I do with the metal corner piece that is rusting through!!? (see picture) Is it OK to glue a tile baseboard to the ragged bottom of the drywall? Thanks ..read more

We have only been in our home for 4 months. Built in 1970. I'm getting ready to skim coat the walls of my living room. I'm prepping the surface and I had a spot where the drywall got knocked off when removing the baseboards. I'm vacuuming and picking away the excess when I notice there's black mold on the paper facing the inside of the wall. Top photo is the hole cleaned of debris. Bottom photo the chunks I removed. How concerned should I be about this? Nothing seems moist. I found a small... Found Black Mold on drywall. How concerned should I be ..read more

Has anyone used F-bead (regelet?) to do shadow reveal (no baseboard)?

Owner/builder, going to be doing a lot of the interior work on an ICF home. Saw the shadow reveal at a show then researched online... not a ton out there but the concept is pretty straightforward. However, I'm curious about the trim piece if you don't have a perfectly straight floor. We are going polished concrete, which isn't perfect by any means. Also, from what I've read, you normally go top to bottom on drywall but I'm thinking with this reveal, you'd want full sheets setting right down... Hello everyone, I plan to make a plaster ceiling for my office. However, I'm wondering what color to use, my wife likes white. But I'm afraid it's not very suitable because I'm quite a "smoker" and I'm afraid that after a while it will stain the ceiling. Can anyone give me their opinion? mehndi design front simple ..read more
