Kent-based Castledene Transport has taken delivery of a brand-new Volvo FH 500 with I-Save Globetrotter XL 6×2 tractor unit, sporting a special livery to celebrate the customer’s 45th anniversary. An urgent safety message has been issued by the North West’s power network operator following a serious incident which took place in Lancashire. Earlier this month, Electricity North West engineers were called to a site in Skelmersdale after a tipper lorry collided with its overhead lines. As well as impacting the power network, the current from the 33,000-volt lines travelled through the vehicle bursting three tyres. Family-run Logistics North East, which is based in Chester-Le-Street, has joined the Midlands-based pallet network as part of its growth strategy.
