I started building on this bike it seems years ago, wanted a hi-seated recumbent like my first scrap build in 2018.
Then, I bought a bike engine, put it on my old schwinn to test it, and discovered my hoohaw full of palladium didn't bother me no more.
But...after 1500 miles upright, took a few trike rides. I miss it. I need my street-height recumbent.
Went back to work on Longbike. I got it where I could test roll, steering, tracking coasting down small hills with a hardboard on the seat...

Cracks me up that there’s a group for recumbents. Got this guy 2 weeks ago as a non running project. She’s come a long way, just got exhaust all mounted tonight, just waiting on a drive chain and throttle and it’s finally complete. New member, looking forward to this forum. This is my second motorized bike, first was an old mountain bike that I sold.
For those interested:
-1/8” rubber pads (4) on each engine mount to reduce vibration

This was a fun 'special needs' build.
The customer has COPD so he needs to take a battery powered breather along.
He picked out the Sun EZ3 USX HD 21-speed trike and had me 'make it go' with a generous budget.
