My wife and I are thinning our herd. We need to sell: Lightning Phantom Vision R-42 Cattrike We've put a lot of miles on these but are getting older and have morphed into bents that fit our lifestyles better. We've loved our experiences riding the Vision and Phantom. The cattrike was used by our adult foster home for residents who also loved riding it. Please call 503-882-8070 if you want to talk about any of the bikes. Make an offer. Sorry about the photos. They seem to rotate at... Read more ..read more

'Bent suitable for arm injury?

Hello everyone. I'm new to the group, and seeking advice. I'm involved in a project seeking to get riders with disabilities out on real MTB trails. There are a couple of things I'd like to ask for your thoughts on, and I'll put the second under a different title to keep things simple. So, question 2: Do you think a 'bent would be suitable for a rider with arm weakness or loss? One of the riders we have been working with has nerve damage to one arm rendering it... Be wary of Actionbent

I bought a recumbent bike from Actionbent in April. This ended up being a truly horrible experience. Right now, I'm out over $1700 with nothing to show for it. I’m posting my story here hoping that forum members/readers will think twice before buying a bike from Actionbent. I had to return the bike due to some issues with the dynamics. It’s been over six months since the bike got back to Actionbent, but I have not actually received a refund yet. I've given the owners (Randy Schulman... Read more ..read more

Recumbent safety statistics

Hi, I wondered if anyone could direct me to a site where I might find safety statistics about Recumbent HPV's? There are sources where I live in the UK which give details of numbers of cyclists killed or seriously injured (KSI) per mile cycled, but these are not broken down into categories of bicycle/HPV. I am trying to obtain an objective view of HPV safety before purchasing a recumbent. I am hoping to buy a "Raptobike Lowracer". I would be really grateful if anyone could help. Cheers Steve ..read more

Delta Trike (Kettwiesel) Questions

I am considering buying a Kettwiesel and was hoping for comments from someone with even a little experience with delta trikes. I’m 60+ and do mostly trail riding & shopping. A friend thinks I'm crazy to spend this kind of money on a "bicycle" but he spent 4 times as much on a motorbike and didn't even get any exercise thrown in! Can you believe it? Some questions, please. 1) I would like to get out of the derailleur maintenance business & wanted a Schlumpf 2 Speed Drive... Read more ..read more

The Actionbent Jetstream Recumbant

It looks like the Actionbent Jetstream recumbant is the best value for a recument of any on the market today. The price is about half of anything else out there with comparable quality. Am I missing anything? It weighs in at 30 lbs, which is not bad for a recumbent priced at $595. I don't see how I will be able to find a new recumbent of this quality at a lower price. Does anyone have any other ideas? See http://www.actionbent.com/products.html ..read more
