I just received a new soundbar (Samsung HW-Q600C) which I'm really excited about, and finally have my PS5. I read that my TV has ARC (HDMI3) but no EARC. I have a ARC-enabled Toshiba TV - small screen for small room - and I hooked it up to eARC-enabled Senheisser Mini via an eARC switch (FeinTech VAX04101). Also connected Sony BluRay player via switch. The bluray player allows me to stream FLAC files from my home media server. Everything works fine, TV apps, DVDs/blurays, EXCEPT basic CDs and FLAC files. They appear to play but no sound from soundbar. I've the soundbar 900 and the bass 700 unit, I've run the calibration a few times and all the bass unit does is add depth, it doesn't punch as hard as this size of a speaker should! I came from a 7.1 home theatre setup, reduced to 3.1 when I got married. I decided to do for the Bose setup to reduce clutter etc and tbh I very disappointed with the results..... Hello, I'm tired of Youtube setting their ad volumes at maximum while turning video content volume low. I've tried their ad-free service and I'm not interested. I also have a Samsung HW-E450 soundbar & subwoofer with the "Smart Volume" sound compression feature via my ARC connection to my LG OLED SmartTV.
