Back in December 2021, Square Enix ran a cross-promotion between Final Fantasy XIV and GrubHub that offered an exclusive pizza-eating emote. The caveat is that you needed to purchase at least $15 of pizza via the food delivery app and will be sent a redeem code for the emote a little while later.
Unfortunately, many players complained that they didn’t receive a code even after ordering multiple times through the app as stocks were apparently limited and were given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Square Enix is getting ready for another server upgrade which will send Final Fantasy XIV servers to the proverbial cloud. To ensure that the cloud servers will be able to handle the strain of live service, the team will be running a week-long stress test from November 20th through November 27th.
There will be no maintenance downtime prior to the start of the cloud beta, so you’ll be able to jump right in as soon as they come online. All you have to do is select NA Cloud DC (Beta) from the Data Center Selection screen and choose from one of the two cloud server options.

Final Fantasy XIV has just received a handful of new side content as Patch 6.51 goes live along with the start of a new PvP season and the highlight Fall Guys collaboration event. From now until December 31st, players will be able to participate in a 24-player battle royale event in the Golden Saucer version of Blunderville.
Just like in Fall Guys, participants will race against each other across a three-stage obstacle course to earn Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF). MGF can then be used to purchase colorful Fall Guys-themed event rewards from the MGF trader.

Fall Guys’ beloved bouncing beans are making their way to Final Fantasy XIV later this month in a collaboration event that’s been on the docket for some time now. The event splash site is now live with details on the upcoming event and the garishly colorful rewards it has to offer.
The Final Fantasy XIV x Fall Guys collaboration event will kick off on October 31st and will run until December 31st. Square Enix revealed today at London Fanfest the 1st new playable class in Final Fantasy XIV's DAWNTRAIL expansion. The class is "Viper" and they're a dual wielding melee DPS.

The "Viper" class is the first of "multiple new jobs" which will be included in DAWNTRAIL when it launches Summer 2024. The game also teased a new "Limited Job" (the 2nd such job after Blue Mage) which releases in the second half of the DAWNTRAIL's lifecycle. It’s a big day for the MMORPG community with the release of not one, but two major updates today. Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.5 is now live with new main story quests, the Lunar Subterrane dungeon, a new Myths of the Realm alliance raid, the Abyssal Fracture trial, and the Singularity Reactor unreal trial. The patch also introduced various tweaks and balance adjustments to jobs, PvP, and armoire storage.

Square Enix has released the preliminary patch notes for next week’s Final Fantasy XIV: Growing Light update. The patch notes offer details on the update’s new story quests, side quests, and encounters along with other changes coming to the fantasy MMORPG when Growing Light goes live.

Final Fantasy XIV free trial players who still haven’t committed to the initial buy-in can look forward to getting access to even more free content. Square Enix recently announced its plans to expand the trial to include the full base game as well as the Stormblood and Heavensward expansions when Patch 6.5 comes out in October.
