We are interested in taking the #10 jitney to Goodman's Bay Beach (the same place the Royal Caribbean "beach break" shore excursion goes to). I've read we can take the #10 jitney and it costs $1.25 per person. 1) Where do we get on the Jitney near the port? 2) Do they take US dollars? Exact change ..read more

Rum, Reggae & Rhythms Tour feedback

We’ve cruised to Nassau a few times in years past, and the beaches are beautiful and the people wonderful. But after 2 or 3 times here it gets old, and for many return cruisers staying on the ship becomes the best choice. Having said that, we are spending a couple weeks here and we decided to take the “Rum, Reggae, and Rhythms Tour” with friends this week. You can find the itinerary (Graycliff cigar “factory”, chocolate shop, wine shop, and John Watling’s rum factory) and reviews on CC’s sister site TripAdvisor. You book through TA/Viator, and the tour is provided by BahTours for $65 USD ..read more

Blue lagoon beach break vs blue lagoon adult only

We've been to blue lagoon before, but only did the regular beach break. We have two options for our upcoming cruise, and I'm trying to determine if it's worth it to pay the extra for the adult only excursion. From what I remember, the adult only area is across that bridge. According to the website, the adult one includes Bahama mama's and soft drinks for the day. The regular beach break is $89 a person. The adult only one was $134 a person, so considerably more expensive. Trying to determine if it's worth it.  ..read more

I have heard others mention taxis to Lighthouse Pointe Resort at Port Lucaya cost around $30-40 round trip but a shuttle is like $7?  Can anyone shed light on this?  Haven’t been to Freeport in over 5 years and no knowledge of how to negotiate a round trip taxi (will the same taxi pick up at required time?) and is there a shuttle that goes that far, do you schedule it or is it like public transportation?  Thanks for any info!   There will be 6 of us in our group ..read more
