Hi guys, Took the Legend out on its maiden voyage yesterday to the Golden Triangle. I only found lead shot but the guys on the monsters found some gold (luck of the draw lol). I did notice an issue with both of my stock pro pack coils. I was running in goldfield mode at 25 sensitivity and every time coil came into contact with anything, be that the ground, a pebble, small twig, shrub etc. it would sound off like there was a target. I've only ever used PI machines and never had this issue so... Read more ..read more

Gidday everyone, Ive been prospecting for a year with my son in the Goldfields WA. Mostly in the Ex Warriedar area. My son works for Reeds Prospecting, so last week we borrowed a 6000 and an SDC 2300 to have a swing with. We also took a dryblower to have a play with. We usually swing with 5000s. One we borrow from a mate. We also pan and sluice. My son has been out with a film Crew, acting at Leonora for a spin off show from Aussie Gold Hunters. Its still all new and exciting for me. I... Have a 14x9 Golderstalker from a 5000 that I purchased, looking to use it on SWMBO's E1500 at Tib, or would a 14x9 Evo be a better choice? Regardles of the detector in use eg 4500/5000 etc which is the better coil in your experience. ( mild mineralization) So your comment doesent get Rohan Offside ( Barry modified my & wifes Minelab15000's in the 80's) or Trevor at Coiltek , known him for unmpteen years +10, PM me with your views.
