Help identify a component on a microphone circuit

Hi, I'm wondering if someone here could possibly help identify a component. I'm an accordion maker with at best basic knowledge of electronics and sometimes I build microphones in the accordions and concertinas, they are quite basic but have survived me well the last couple of years, they are basic electret capsules running on 48v phantom power. I brought the PCBs and components from Akihabara electronics market in Tokyo and I'm down to my last one and was going to order the components... Read more ..read more

Hi, For a school project I had to design a opamp for audio amplification. I now would like to do an ac analysis on just the intermediate stage to see the gain and input impedance yet i am not sure how to simulate this. I remeber a TA talking about adding a feedback resistor that is 0.1 AC 1T but i cant seem to get it to work. The full circuit and the intermediate stage can be seen below. The Emitter current of Q7 is 1A and collector current of Q8 around 2A ..read more

Hi, I am using three monitors at work...when i have LTspice on one of the monitors, the mouse disappears when i try and move it over a schematic window in LTspice...do you know why? If i move the schem to one of the other 2 monitors, this doesnt happen and its OK ..read more

Pcb copper board - copper thickness

Hi, Does anyone know what the copper thickness is on the many single sided boards you can buy from the mainly China based sellers on the usual sites ? We bought a couple of the FR4 1.2mm single sided board but that seller and many others do not mention the copper thickness. Are we right to assume they are more likely to be the thinner 1/2 oz /sqft, or even less ?? If we bought from CPC or RS they specify 1oz/sqft. Also looked at Fortex though a £30 min order and MegaUK whos site seems... Read more ..read more

Issues Simulating Duffing Oscillator In LTSpice

Hello. I am new to LT spice and I am having a lot of trouble simulating a duffing oscillator. I‘ve tried changing integration methods, changing tolerances, using .startup, using .uic, and lots of other things. I get two different errors depending on my settings (see image): 1) time step too small without .uic 2) singular matrix with .uic any help is much appreciated. I have included images of the errors, my .asc, as well as the paper that this is based on which includes the circuit... Read more ..read more
