I can’t remember which plants were from you, but this is how mine is looking as of a couple of days ago; much better than with all the snow! Statistics: Posted by VikingMummy2015 — Sat Apr 20, 2024 5:56 pm ..read more

This afternoon was nice enough to catch up in the garden despite the wind, at least it had stopped raining, Made a start on the pond, removed some debris from the water and dead sticks from the plants, Went through all the pots, any showing life signs were put back in, some needed re potting or more stones but most were ok, it's still very cold at night so I won't discard the other pots just yet Also set the pond-in-a-pot up again, the nice looking plant in the foreground with impressive green leaves is brand new that's why it looks so good Statistics: Posted by Staffylover — Fri Apr 19 ..read more

lucky! Still no frogs or newts in mine and its been ages since it was setup I blame it on the bathing pigeons lol Find some Frogs spawn locally and add to your pond. Next year you'll have the joy's of been kept awake by the sound of amorous Frogs when they return to breed. Statistics: Posted by Martinspuddle — Fri Mar 01, 2024 11:39 pm ..read more

Recently it has been briefly mild enough to have a look at the pond, not dry enough to do any work yet I would like to do some planting or at least mow the grass soon it's very long, The other day the newts were very active and distracted enough they did not mind me watching, there was at least 8 of them in there which I thought was a lot for a very small pond, then today I was happy to see the frog had re appeared and planted some eggs in one of the baskets Statistics: Posted by Staffylover — Thu Feb 29, 2024 7:43 pm ..read more

I almost took a picture of mine…it’s iced over and snowed over too! I can’t actually stay outside more than 5 minutes just now because it’s so cold and my Raynauds/thyroid kick in, so it’s going to be a fair bit of work come Spring.
