I need to replace the water heater in my 2011 Sprinter travel trailer, it has a Suburban heater in it now. Has anyone put in a Camplux RV water heater and if you have which kind and what kind of installation did you use? statistics: Posted by Deinelh — 11:50 AM - 1 day ago ..read more

ArmyRN; I am of the same thoughts, and vim and vigor, when it comes to generator noise.  I am working on the solar idea now.  The plan is 2 outlets and 4 USB charge points for the tent, and the same on each side of the trailer.  I figure if I was able to use it on a Nave ship, I could use it with a trailer.  We started experimenting with solar packs 15 years ago.  They ran my CPAP all night, but weighed in at 15 lbs. The Goal-Zero has peaked my curiosity.  So I have been following it for the past couple of years.  It looks lighter.  But I do not feel i ..read more

I have an old Kelty Kitchen, nice setup. Yes being able to put stuff in the closed compartment on the new kitchen will keep the critters at bay statistics: Posted by Scott — Mar 27, 2017 ..read more

I've used heavy canvas safari dome tents with steel frames several times in Africa, and have an older Coleman 4 person dome tent that we've used quite a bit with kids. And yes, dome tents seems to be aerodynamic and handle high winds better. Dome tents also have a larger internal volume, which makes them harder to keep warm in cold weather, but the extra headroom is really useful. Most dome tents make more efficient use of their footprint and height than rectangular tents (circle and sphere is more efficient than cube or rectangle). There are so many models in all price ranges, from lightweigh ..read more

Back Country Navigator Review I decided to test out this program using the GPS built into my Samsung Tab2 Surprisingly it works ! I really like the app & need to select some other map options to see if the detail improves https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-EjdaELdc8&feature=youtu.be statistics: Posted by AA1PR — Nov 02, 2016 ..read more

I own a gazelle t4 ground tent. One of the best purchases I have made. Easy to set up and take down, no fuss at all. The tent is roomy, I use a teton cot, with room for a chair and small table inside. Only down side is the weight and size. The tent weighs about thirty pounds, and is very long, this is a car/truck camping tent, not something to carry. I have used my tent a lot and have had no issues at all. If you hate setting up a tent, the hub design is great, literally you can set up the tent in a few minutes without having to use poles and all of that. Good luck finding the right tent!! sta ..read more

Yes cause it is more aerodynamic than a square shaped tent. The lower the profile the best for wind as well; however, that effects the comfort ability to stand in it. Good poles and stakes make a good difference too. A heavy tent like one made of canvas material would also stand up to wind well. My next ground tent if I get one will be a hub tent that’s easy to setup like the Gazelles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk statistics: Posted by jmmaxus — Nov 11, 2022 ..read more
