I'm wondering if anyone has tried, or knows if it's possible to cut it down the middle (or close to) and add a hinge so that it can swing open and be more accessible for building and play?  Is there enough room to be able to play in it comfortably? I want to wire my Fairfield for lighting. This seems to need more thinking through as I read through the build directions. I don't remember lighting being so difficult (but I could well be misremembering). But that was a 12 scale house with a lot more room to work inside. As this point I have the base built and am working the staircase. So now seems to be a good point to sort of plan out the wiring. I recently bought the Greenleaf Fairfield. I don't have space for the bigger houses, so I settled on a 1:24 scale. I have been doing booknooks and those are about 1:24, so I have gotten pretty good at making and finding the bits and parts I want to customize. Tonight I started setting up my workspace to begin sorting through the parts and going over the directions so I could see the windows and doors that came in the kit. This is a very ill made kit. Does anyone have the ability to measure their Beacon Hill? Particularly I'm in search of the height of the first-floor rooms (floor to ceiling), and the placement of the door (and its width) on the wall between the vestibule/hall and kitchen. Help. I am SO CLOSE to finishing the outside of my Pierce (begun in January 2021 for my then 5 year old daughter and I'd like her to have it before she leaves home for college!) and have left to do the doors and the porch railing before I finish decorating the inside and do the landscaping.
