We are headed to Alaska at the end of July on the Solstice. We are so excited! We have anytime dining, and noted that many reservation times are already booked up for the main dining room. Will other times open up on board, or should I make reservations for times we are comfortable with (but not prefer) now so we don't get a too late or too early meal?   Thanks for the advice!   dctravel ..read more

Hi all, we are booked on a October Canaries and Portugal cruise on Apex. While we are experienced S Class cruisers, this will be our first E Class cruise. I’m staring to organize dinner reservations and am looking for advice on choosing the MDRs. Is it best to try all 4? Do you have favourites? If so, why? Your advice will be most appreciated. TIA ..read more

We will be on a Celebrity cruise which includes St. Thomas, St. John's/Antigua, Barbados, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia.  I'd like to get some feedback on Celebrity excursions in these ports.  Which ones did you go on and how did you like them.  Or did you go with a third party and how was that experience? Thanks ..read more

Do you expect better service from Celebrity in the Retreat?

I found an internet complaint.  Pax on Celebrity was sick and it took too long (hours) to get help.  Comment was “I expected better service in the Retreat.”  I did ask why they didn’t walk down to the Medical Center.   I don’t mean people in veranda cabins should be refused medical care or bathroom access.  But if you pay more for something, is it unreasonable to expect better treatment ..read more

Starting to think about Galapagos….

DH and I are starting to seriously discuss a Galapagos adventure.  We’ve done some research and I have a few questions:   1. how does one pick a ship?  There seem to be pros/cons to all 3.     2. what is the flight credit stuff I read about?  I’m trying to understand the pricing.  The price I see if I start to book, does that include this flight credit of $500/person if I book flights through celebrity? Doing a pretend flight search on Google flights, there are flights under that for us.  Also, if we are talking 2025 or 2026 those flights aren’t even rel ..read more

We will be on the Edge in Alaska in two weeks in a Concierge Class State Room.  What are the TV choices?  I'm also going to meet the comments at the pass, I do not plan on watching TV all day.  First thing in the morning before breakfast, music channels if we pop in for a bit, and tv viewing before we retire for the night ..read more

Unusual butler/housekeeper request

My wife has neck issues and regularly uses a pad that she heats up in the microwave. My wife was wondering if she could ask the staff to do this for her (for an extra tip, of course). Has anyone made a similar request ?  We’re staying in a Sky Suite.  ..read more

First and last Beyond cruise

Elite Plus, so have some experiences for comparisons. What we liked about Beyond: Eden, Oceanview Cafe, 4 MDR experience, and the Infinite Veranda cabin.. Of course, it's not a veranda at all, but a mini sun room. There is actually more storage space in the closet than pictures seem to show. The staff was incredible ship wide. That's it. The ship was loud over all and very dark in some areas such as  WCB. Craft Social is ridiculously small for such a large ship. A lot of areas encouraged use of stairs. Those at the Martini Bar seemed dangerous. And speaking of dangerous, who in the heck t ..read more
