Covid-19 Vaccination Update

We continue to offer Covid-19 vaccinations both initial vaccination series as well as second and third boosters for those eligible.  Initial vaccination protocol is being done using the Pfizer/Biontech Covid-19 vaccine with an initial dose followed by a second dose in 28 to 42 days.  Boosters are also offered at 3 months to 5 months after the original series using the Pfizer/Biontech vaccine.  If a person has had a Covid-19 infection they should wait for 3 months before accepting a booster vaccination. Covid-19 Vaccinations for Alberta Residents

We are currently administering Pfizer/Biontech Covid-19 vaccine for eligible Albertans. Although we are still prioritizing people who have not yet received their first dose, Alberta government has now outlined second dose eligibility which represents a shortened period between first and second dose. Second dose must not be administered any earlier than 28 days after the first dose and no later than 16 weeks.
