Hi everyone hope all is well.
I was browsing some stuff on the database and found this:
Ventura County Trunking System, Various, California
Ventura County Trunking System Profile
www.radioreference.com
Because I use more than just my home patrol 2 for scanning I've noticed less traffic on certain FM channels and P25 audio coming through FM which tells me for sure county fire is using this p25p2 system I was curious how I would find it in my home patrol so I can listen to just what's listed on that link.
if this should be in a different category, I...

I would like to buy a scanner that has the digital and trunking features of the Uniden BCD536HP, and can be programmed using a computer. I never owned a scanner before, I've done some programming and was an electronics tech, so I should be able to get up to speed with good tutorials. I've read pros and cons about the BCD536HP, one strong con from a guy who repaired several of them. So I thought I'd ask people here what they thought. Thanks in advance ..read more

Hi All
I have a BCD436HP. I have CHP programmed using Sentinel. I live right on the border of LA County and Ventura County. I have both areas programmed in, but can only hear LA County. I "think" i have looked through all the settings and they look the same with the exception of the frequencies. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks for the help ..read more

Hello all,
I have a BCD996T scanner with firmware 3.02 and I cannot hear the CHP Low Band channels. Whats the "magic" setting? I also have a BCD325P2 handheld scanner and the firmware update for that radio somehow fixed the "what ever" and I can hear CHP Low Band channels on that radio.
Please help...
Thanks,

For 40+ years I have listened to CHP on their "Pink" channel at 42.440 in Tulare County, as well as the Maroon2 45.460 for the Coalinga and Hanford area units.
Some time in the last few days both have gone dead. It is not and issue with my scanner, I have a BCT15x and a RTL-SDR that were picking everything up a few days ago. As well as a TRX-2 in my truck which has always worked. Today I drove from Bakersfield to Tulare. I could hear Bakersfield CHP no problem (Brown2) but heard nothing on...
