I’ve always been curious about the old railway behind my house, but I’ve never been able to find any artifacts along it. It was in service since at least 1891 and used until ~1985. The tracks were ripped up before 2000.
I finally found this today, can someone tell me what is it? I could do my own research but it’d be funner to post here.

I randomly came across an Instagram video that showed a Brazilian freight train, I was surprised when I saw the locomotives had two sets of 4 Axel trucks at each end. I believe the locomotives were two modified sd40-2s.
What also surprised me was the enormous front end, I believe it's larger than what is seen on American sd40s.

Yesterday I put an app in for the job and maybe 2 hours later got an email saying they were moving forward with a virtual interview already. I have no RR experience at all. And on the list of preferred qualifications it asked do I have a CDL or be able to obtain one in 90 days?
Would I be obtaining this through the company or my own time? Another question is what exactly does this job entail. And does it involve a ton of math I’ve always been horrid at math.
Edit: On Indeed they said this job would pay $36/hr which job seemed too good to be true. If it’s true then this would be a life changin ..read more
