Tonight I shot my first dog with mange. He had it pretty bad everything from the shoulders back to the hind quarters was pretty much bald. Well I wasn't sure what to do with it and I felt guilty about leaving it out there so I drug it back to the truck. Well after calling a few buddies they said to just leave it in the field and not to touch it at all because the mange is extremely contageous bug. Is this this true? What do you guys do with them?

Woke up to a cold Sunday morning went out to the truck to find the windshield frosted on the inside a bit.
Decided I would go back in and fix a mug of tea to go while the frost was melted and dried up.
Took about 10 minutes and it was thawed enough I could dry it off and be on my way.
Made the drive to the Capac bank and waited for Charlie to arrive. Once he did I put my gear in his truck as I was sure he had a mapped out plan.

Met Charlie at a restaurant with nice big truck parking lot 6:30 AM. I throw my gear in his truck with the 243 this time also. Ask if he had breakfast, he answered in the negative. We go in and order breakfast, discuss a hunt strategy for the day.
It is nice to not have the bone chilling cold to deal with, my truck had showed 20F, the big screen TV in the restaurant showed a 11F wind chill.

Boy was it cold yesterday morning before the sun finally came up at sun rise. The wind was whipping across a big hay field as we were walking back to a big wet land area on a sheep farm.
My name was drawn by Charlie on Sunday at the brunch meeting. Figured I was well enough to be out driving fence post last week I could start trying for some jingle again.
