Any effects or cost saving measures that you guys are seeing at the mainline after the poor Q1 results? It's all conjecture, but some at the regional level are thinking that's why ATP/CTP is no longer being funded at Envoy, and potentially why Orientation has gone by the wayside as well ..read more

Good morning all. I created an application and the ATP number, first and last name will not let me enter any information. I created another one with my military email but will retire in a few months and with the snail pace of the hiring process, I need to create one with my civilian email. Is there a way to delete these apps and start over? Thanks in advance ..read more

Starting class this Wednesday. Seems like I have a lot of older people in my class and I’ll likely be somewhere near the middle of the 44 when it comes for aircraft/base selection. With only 11 Airbus on this drop it seems highly unlikely that I’ll be getting one, so off to the 73 world I go. :(
With that said… what are the best options for someone who lives in DFW and likely won’t get one of the few DFW slots? Options are ORD, DCA, BOS, LAX, or MIA? I’ve heard commuting to/from MIA is tough. What would be my best two base options outside of DFW?
Also, there is another bid happening in June ..read more

Noticed this little gem in the recent APA email. Set to be voted on at the next meeting.
Basically argues that APA should not be against Age 67, but neutral, because Duty of Fair Representation cannot be discriminatory. Seems to think that age 65 is discrimination (which it isn't, otherwise, how would it be in effect?") and argues that that's why APA shouldn't be against.
Please tell your reps to vote this thing to the trash where it belongs. There is no need for 67 without any proper studies (Spirit is furloughing, Fedex, United, Southwest etc stopped hiring, we reduced our hiring per the r ..read more

American Airlines said Monday that it is ordering 260 new narrow-body jets, including dozens of Boeing’s long-delayed 737 Max 10.
The order includes 85 of Boeing’s 737 Max 10 planes and 85 of the Airbus A321neo, aircraft it says will help it upgauge on domestic and short-haul international routes. The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline is also ordering 90 Embraer E175 planes.
American said it would also convert orders for 30 Boeing 737 Max 8 planes, a model that is already a staple of its fleet, into the larger 737 Max 10s.
