I've been using Office 2013. I created a PPT template. Using this template, I import a Word 2013 file that is edited in outline mode. Everything imports correctly. No problems. I move to PPT365. I moved everything over, but when the import is used, all of the text is placed outside any placeholder. So any text ends up on the slide, but not in a designated textbox. I have tried creating a PPT365 slide master from the PPT2013 file. Now the text will be imported is in a textbox, but not using any slide in the slide master I've imported. We have a map of all rooms in our building. The map is a collection of drawn objects grouped together. The project is to allow the user to click a combo box in Excel, pick the desired room number, and have the appropriate room turn to a specified color on the map. I've used VBA to do a similar project before with Excel and PowerPoint. The difference is this time is we have hundreds of objects (the different rooms) versus a dozen or so for the past project. Hi, look at this image of Powerpoint ribbon Attachment 20341 I made a group for my favorite macros, they appear as icons in the ribbon until 10 macros, then all grouped under a single icon so I want to show all icons in the available area of the ribbon without grouping them. I have been able to attach a movie to an icon by the following method: Insert a picture (a small, icon-size picture). Then right-click and add a link, in my case to an MP4 on my computer. But I encountered an irritating problem: If I attach a movie, doing Ctrl-Click on the movie icon simply opens it without delay, but Ctrl-Click on an icon that links to an audio file leads to a warning message that one has to approve first before the audio file can be heard. I'm still running Office 2010 on Windows 10 (up-to-date). When I try to embed a video into my presentation, PowerPoint tells me that I need the correct codec to do this. How do I: 1. find out what the correct codec is? 2. Get the codec when I know which one? The problem is unique to my laptop: the embedded video works on my desktop. I haven't seen this error message in Power Point for some time. It won't render to any video format. Trying again is futile and the only apparent solution is to recreate the slide from scratch or use a third-party conversion tool. I'm posting this to see if anybody else out there has had this error and what they did to fix it other than recreating the entire slide from scratch and trying again - and hoping for the best. Many PDF documents have a bookmarks panel on the left side. The user can create, name, and arrange these bookmarks. Clicking on a bookmark leads directly to the specified page within the PDF. Can I do something like that in PowerPoint? I know I can have a Table of Contents slide; I want the Table of Contents in a bookmarks panel.
