Hi guys,
I am based in Sydney and about to pull the trigger on a 2015 S60 P*, will be visiting the seller to check out the car next week.
It has clocked 101,000 KM over the years. Would love to pick the hive mind and see what I should be aware off.
The has been serviced by Volvo dealership throughout the years, so hopefully it is well looked after mechanically.
Anything I should pay extra attention to when checking / test driving the car? Since it’s a 9 yrs old car and done quite a bit...

Guys, I know this topic has been dragged through the mud. However no real answers or solutions or attempts have been made that I can find. I need to replicate Noble and Polestars output gains in the 4.4L V8. I need as close to that 650 marks as I can possibly get. First step would obviously be boring to 5.0. I don’t want to hear about it being a transverse application and I definitely don’t care about the turd-of-an-aisin tranny. This motor will have the honor of powering my 300zx 2+0. Many...

Prior to departing for a week long road trip with no garage storage (Oregon coast, likely wet) I snaked the front drains with string trimmer cordage, and ran boiling water down the drains. I did get appropriate water volume out to the bottom of the vehicle, however, there seems to be three exit paths, which struck me as odd. Two drains, two exit puddles I figured. Anyone else out there run this routine?
Seen many threads, but none seem to ID or document the actual exit locations...

Not sure where best to ask this question, so I'll start here; 2018 V60 P*. I snapped the little plastic piece off the center vent that allows all vertical pieces to move up and down together. I can see the piece sitting along the left side of the vent, and it's dropped down to the CD opening, I can't get it out. If I can get the vent off I believe I can repair it.
Will this surround around the vent come off to allow me to attempt this repair? Looks like perhaps a plastic panel removal tool...

I’ve been looking at the V60 T8 for a couple of years and now looking on the used market for one.
the 2021 seems about 10k less then a comparable 2023, but I can’t find much on the actual differences.
Where there any physical differences?
Or was this a software/ tune change?
Is the +40 HP from electric or ICE?
Thanks, sorry if this has been asked. I spent an hour searching this morning and cannot find much at all ..read more

I am considering of installing a BMC air filter (FB477/20) in place of the stock filter in my 2017 P*. I was wondering if anyone has had any MAF sensor fouling issues from the oiled BMC filter. I run one in my Porsche with no issues ..read more

Hey! Last week I bought a 2016 V60 Polestar in Rebel Blue. I looked through the registry thread, and was wondering how to get mine "registered" so that it's updated? I plan on keeping it for a long time and think it'd be cool to get it on there. I was also wondering if there's any way to figure out which production number it is! I understand that 2016 was the only year the V60 had a 6 cylinder, and that even less of them came in Rebel Blue, and am just curious as to how many there really are...

Looking at a possible extended warranty purchase and wondering what company owners here might prefer for a vendor and what relative pricing might be. Policy would be for an S60 Polestar. Anyone have similar extended coverage on a P*?

My 2020 V60 PE has been great, though I REALLY wish it had the stronger electric motor of the newer models. It's fine on the flats, but it's very hilly where I live and it really struggles to get to 30 mph going up the hills. As one might expect, it's a little better in summer than in winter.
In the past, as long as I was careful to watch the electric / gas meter, I could get up the hills. But I recently had the 50k service and new software was installed (version 2.0, per the service...
