Hello everyone,
Today my 4mo old male lab was diagnosed with Tricuspid valve dysplasia (TVD) by echocardiogram. He is severe (5/6). I am not able to stop crying. I lost my 9 year old lab in Dec. in an unexpected way that I couldn't fix. $9000 later and I still have no answers as to what happened to him. I finally convinced myself to get a puppy and now I have this. I am terrified. I need someone that will replace his valve and I can't find anything or anyone. Does anyone have experience...

Hi, looking for some advice!
My lab found a box of chips on our walk 2 nights ago and proceeded to inhale as much as he could before I got them off him. He threw up that night, didn't bring much food up but reached a few more times overnight.
Next day he was absolutely fine, running about as normal and eating/pooping fine.
Last night we had the same again, he didn't bring up food just vomited a bit of liquid and retched a bit but seems totally fine today.
I'm now thinking he might have...

Has anyone tried Librella yet? I’m just wondering if it works and the cost of the vet supplying it for a 32kg Labrador.

We're often asked about raw diets, and whether they are a 'better' or 'worse' option for your dog.
The answer is a little more complicated than a simple yes or no. So here's a quick list of all Pippa's raw feeding articles, and some helpful other related articles, for anyone who's looking to learn more about their options .
How do you feed your pup? We'd love to hear what your dog eats and why, in the comments below

Greetings, our 18-month old back field lab Teddie is in her 2nd heat...she appears to be more tired than usual. She has been a very active high energy puppy since day one . Still will go on good walks in the woods, fetch , etc....appetite has change a bit as well in that she's not hovering her food when put down for her. Are we just experiencing her transition into a young calmer audial dog or is low energy part of the heat cycle ..read more

Hi, we have a very healthy (fingers crossed!) working labrador who is 13 months old. Our vet recommends that he takes Nexguard monthly, and Endogard every 3 months - both to prevent wormers. Monty is our first dog, and talking with friends who have dogs they only take Nexguard. I just wondered what others did, only because Monty hates Endogard and it's difficult to get him to eat it (even crushed into high value food). We don't want to take him off Endogard if it's necessary, but given how...

Our beautiful boy Henry damaged his back right leg and Thursday had X-ray that showed his crucial ligament is damaged so much so the vet will operate and put plates in both his back knees as the left one is rubbing. Can anyone tell me what to expect after operation and will he be cured? l am so worried for him. Thank you for reading ..read more

At 18 months we put our dog on royal Canin Labrador retriever mix. On and off for the next year, she would have mixed poops, some regurgitation, and had to start having her anal glands expressed. Our vet switched her a little over a month ago to the Royal Canin hydrolyzed protein. Her poop has been perfect and she no longer has any regurgitation, but she seems to be showing signs of nausea, but I’m not 100% sure. About a week after she went 100% on the new food, I noticed that she would open...

Our lab is 10 months old, i have noticed a slight limp since he was probably 2 or 3 months old, it was real noticeable but i always thought he had a slight limp. The limp has become more noticeable as he has grown, so we finally took him for x-rays. I thought for sure it would come back as elbow dysplasia. The vet called us with the results and said the joint looks fine, no ED but he said he does have some rough spots on the outside of the joint, basically arthritis. I asked him if he...
